I was just thinking idly that one of my favourite words in the english language is Nefarious . which amonst others means ;abominable, atrocious, base, corrupt, criminal, degenerate, depraved, detestable, dreadful, evil, execrable, flagitious, flagrant, foul, glaring, gross, heinous, horrible, infamous, infernal, iniquitous, miscreant, monstrous, odious, opprobrious, outrageous, perverse, putrid, rank, rotten, shameful, treacherous, vicious, vile, villainous, wicked ! isn’t that great!
I also began to think that one of my favorite characters was Egypt’s ow Queen Nefertiti. I also believe however that this was not her real name but a nick name borne from a joke that did the rounds around 1370BC which is when she ascended to the throne. I began to think up a story line .
The king at the time, Rameses V, met and fell in love with Nefertiti who had her eye on the throne. The charming enchantress soon had the king beguiled and wrapped around her little finger.
King Rameses decides after much manipulation that there is no other woman for him except his brother’s consort Nefertiti. They marry after a short courtship leaving the queen mother despondent. Weighed down by her depression she eventually keels over and dies.
Seizing her moment to act Nefertiti poisons her husband Rameses who also dies within hours of his mother’s death leaving the throne to fall to her one true love Amenhotep the king’s cousin.
They marry and live happily ever after.
In two neighboring sarcophagi deep in the bowels of the pyramids of Giza Rameses is getting a tongue lashing from his from his mother.
” Why couldn’t you just be satisfied with the royal whore house I had set up for you? Didn’t i tell you she was a nefarious titty?”
